Oh its so nice to be relaxing on Sunday evening. My roommate and I are camped out on the couch and I’m about to make dinner and watch Magic Mike. Before getting all of my errands done this afternoon, I made myself squeeze in a short workout even though I was not at all in the mood but I’m so glad I did it. I’m definitely able to relax this evening since I kept busy for the majority of the day and had such a busy weekend.
On Friday, my company had a team bonding day full of activities and edible treats. Our boss brought in Panera pastries for breakfast so I kick started my morning with a chai tea to hold me over until getting to work.
I choose a chocolate filled croisant for breakfast and it was pretty tasty. Surprisingly, I didn’t eat all of the pastry (okay, the parts without chocolate that is) and I think starting the day out with a cup of tea made me crave a little less sweet, if that’s at all possible. 🙂
After our morning meeting, we head to lunch at Burton’s Grill and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend trying this place. We ordered a few appetizers and I ordered the Harvest Salad which was sweet and refreshing.
Right after lunch, we divided up into our teams and went on a city-wide scavenger hunt. We did a little running and some walking so this counts as cardio, right?
Saturday evening was our company’s holiday party and it was a lot of fun.
With all of the fun to be had this weekend, I had no time to workout and I can definitely feel myself starting to eat like a true holiday celebrator! I plan to fit in lots of heathy meals this week to make up for this past weekend and next weekend so stay tuned for some easy and fueling meals. I just finished cutting up some fruits to snack on for the next few days. I’d definitely recommend getting a pineapple because it’s surprisingly not that difficult to cut up and yields a large amount of fruit. Pomegranates, on the other hand are the opposite. I would skip this fruit unless you are making a cocktail that calls for them. 🙂
Hope everyone is having a relaxing Sunday!
