Last night, my two roommates and I had our Christmas gift exchange. I got home last night around 6:00pm and after making a delicious dinner and enjoying way to many desserts, I was feeling restless so I made a date with the gym. Those extra chocolates I consumed after dinner may have inspired this workout.
I headed to the gym and actually ran on the treadmill for a half an hour. (I really don’t like the treadmill but I needed something different besides my old pal the elliptical!) I finished my workout with some ab work and then it was back home to shower and enjoy my relaxing night ahead. (The less time I have in the evening, the more I can enjoy it- oh psychology.) Also, there’s something about an evening workout that makes you think twice before consuming tons of desserts and junk. So it was off to the shower and into my comfy pajamas to enjoy a mini Christmas celebration with the roomies. 🙂

My roommate Caroline got a cupcake ornament and a fancy chocolate cupcake mix. There wasn’t a specific theme but cupcakes made a big appearance!
We had a great gift exchange and afterwards, I went upstairs to get ready for bed and do a little reading. Since I had a great evening workout, I decided to sleep in this morning. Man, was it nice to wake up at 7am instead of 5:30am. (My teenage self would be amazed.) So this morning, I made my lunch for the day and made an omelet for breakfast.
I’m pretty sure I’ll work out this evening too instead of tomorrow morning. Who knows, maybe I’ll switch it up my routine for the next few weeks. Have a great Thursday blog friends!
