Steel Cut Oats and Procrastination
Breakfast this morning was a big bowl of steel cut oats.
This was my first time trying steel cut oats and I really liked them. It’s a much coarser grain than regular oatmeal so it takes a little more time to cook up. I got these oats from Trader Joe’s and they are microwavable.
I had to add boiling water to the oats and then microwave them for several minutes. Then, I added peanut butter, a dash of cinnamon and too many spoonfuls of brown sugar. After I ate breakfast, I threw together my lunch. The main meal was a big festive salad.
I got a short incline treadmill workout this morning and it felt great. It was one of those mornings where I was trying to prolong going to the gym so I”m glad I finally got it over with.
