“The master has failed more times than the beginner has even tried.”
-Stephen McCranie
I flew to LA for the weekend with some wonderfully hilarious, bright-spirited, laughter-induced college friends, new friends, blogger friends, and even my lovely cousin.
Birthday parties, brunching in WeHo (West Hollywood), pool hanging in Beverly Hills, munching at Pink Taco, wondering through the farmer’s market, we packed our weekend full of activities and amusement…
[Pro travel tip: If you’re in a big city, use Uber Pool, which has a maximum fare of ~$10. My ride from LAX to West Hollywood was only $5!]
To say we like to eat is one hellUVAn understatement.
[Pro travel tip: Eat all da foods because you only LA once, or something Like thAt.]
What a weekend it was, constantly scurrying around to the next adventure.
A little secret I’ve come to find through the travels: success trumps failure. Most people only display the good, leaving the ugly failures behind in the dust. Every new sprint of vigor forever prevails over past failures far from showcased because no one wants to emulate them. Instead, those with successes in life are seen as perfect, lucky, blessed, etc. The trick is even though you don’t focus on those failures, without them, you wouldn’t likely have the successes.
Failures beget success? Perhaps.
The more successes, the more failures. It’s like the late Biggie once said, mo money mo problems. Or something Like thAt.
Don’t be afraid to fail. Be afraid not to try.
Yoga fails paves the road for yoga trails.
I’d be lying if I said I was fearless. Of course I have fears, but it’s how you react to them that matters.
Move forward. Jump into the fear. Turn the anxiety into something bigger than yourself.
Evolve that nervous energy into a tool to accomplish something unique.
Do it for the thrill[er]
“…the only thing we have to fear is…fear itself — nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance. In every dark hour of our national life a leadership of frankness and of vigor has met with that understanding and support of the people themselves which is essential to victory. And I am convinced that you will again give that support to leadership in these critical days.”
50 shades of crazy and a horse of many colors, wouLdn’t you sAy?
Have a fearless Tuesday and do something you wouldn’t do ordinarily. LAter friends!
What would you do if you were fearless? Or flawless, like Beyonce? 😉
