Chocolate Mug Brownie

 

Chocolate Mug Brownie

After a few attempts, I present you with a healthy chocolate brownie mug! (And your non-health-crazed friends will like it too!) 

  • 2 tbsp apple sauce
  • 2 tbsp almond milk (any type of milk works)
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar (I used "sugar in the raw")
  • 1 tbsp truvia (or sugar)
  • pinch of salt
  • pinch of baking soda
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds (or sub another tbsp oats)
  • 1 tbsp flax (optional way to add some nutrients)
  • 4 tbsp oats (measure oats first, then grind in the food processor)
  1. Mix the 3 liquid ingredients in a large mug. Then stir each dry ingredient in one at a time.

  2. Microwave the mixture for 1-2 minutes, depending on microwave power.

  3. Add sprinkles 🙂

Did I mention it’s dairy and gluten free?

Ingredients

1/4 tsp vanilla extract

2 Tbsp cocoa powder

2 Tbsp sugar (I used “sugar in the raw”)

1 Tbsp truvia (or sugar)

pinch of salt

pinch of baking powder

1 Tbsp chia seeds (or sub another Tbsp oats)

1 tsp of flax (optional way to add some nutrients)

4 Tbsp oats (measure oats first, then grind in the food processor)

Directions

Mix the 3 liquid ingredients in a large mug. Then stir each dry ingredient in one at a time.

Brownie Batter

Microwave the mixture for 1-2 minutes, depending on microwave power.

The best part about this dessert is the ingredients. I used a recipe from Food.com for the measurements but swapped healthier options, like applesauce instead of butter.
