Time for Tahoe
We hopped up out the bed, turned Tahoe on.
(Mom and dad, that’s a reference to a rap song.)
There’s no time like Tahoe time. My winter Tahoe trip was awesome, but it’s a whole new experience in the warmer months.
Let the 5 hour road trip begin…
A tahoe in Tahoe.
Camera? Check (obvi)
Food?
You can’t start a road trip without snacks on snacks. We got dinner on the way up at Pieology, a restaurant my friend Tim describes as “Chipotle but for pizza.”
And the final piece of the pie? A solid hiking buddy who’s all about dancing in the woods, belting out song lyrics, analyzing the breakdown of the twerk, and down for yoga.
Yup. Check check. Mic Check 1,2,1,2!
Pro hiking tip: bring a mini speaker. It will pump up the volume, literally.
We like to train insane so we don’t remain the same.
Advice from a tree: Stand tall and proud. Go out on a limb. Remember your roots. Drink plenty of water. Be content with your natural beauty. Enjoy the view.
Tahoe tricks for days.
Many precede and many will follow
A young girl’s dreams no longer hollow
It takes the shape of a place out west
But what it holds for her, she hasn’t yet guessed…
Follow your arrow wherever it leads.
Follow your wild dreams. They provide your seeds.
If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.

My friend Bridgette threw a bridge and I did a handstand, surprise. 🙂
Our moves may or may not have called the fire squad.
Look deep into nature and you will understand everything better.
The guys went mountain biking, while we hiked. That didn’t stop us from still looking the part though. #edgy
It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.

After miles and miles put in at Northstar Resort, we called it day over dinner at a Mexican rotisserie restaurant in Incline Village followed by a brisk mile walk to the beach. We even got to see my friend Ford who’s living in Tahoe for the next month as a traveling man. (Let’s convince him to start a blog!)
While at the beach getting my selfie stick on, I was unknowingly attracting an audience.
Nice meeting you Carol and thanks for the pic of selfie-land! I found it fitting to put the ducks underneath. 😉
If you haven’t had the chance, go see gorgeous Tahoe. If it’s too far, just go out in the woods. It’s refreshing for sure.
When’s the last time you went for a hike in the woods?
