May You Enjoy
Get it? It’s May.
Ok moving along.
I’ve been taking a lot of online workout classes during quarantine. Tara Stiles‘ instagram live classes are everything.
“You can breathe better when you slow down.
“We’re so used to our stress. It’s actually comforting. Our stress is familiar so we get cozy with it. We let it make a home in our bodies and then it destroys us. Don’t invite that stress in. Say thank you, good to see you, move along.”
The great pause.
I’ve also been doing virtual meditations which have been extremely rewarding. I got to meditate with Tara Brach who went over handling emotions through RAIN:
Recognize
Allow
Investigate
Nurture
“Once done inwardly, you’re much more able to respond to the world around you for how you want to be.
“When you name a difficult feeling, it becomes less powerful.
“What are you unwilling to feel? Let in the nurturing to feel more relaxed.
“Fear is nature’s protector. Thank you for trying to protect me. Then the shift begins.
“Pause is the first way to interrupt an old habit.”
Use this time to look within.
“Having the mind think about something and working to bring the mind back to where you want it to be is like a bicep curl.“

Meditation has scientifically been proven to decrease stress.
After all, whatever you practice grows stronger
Hope this helps someone. 🙂
