Made in America
Like a flash, it’s Monday Tuesday! Hope everyone had a marvelous Monday.
This past Friday, I went to Citizen Burger Bar with some co-workers and I wanted to share their Beet salad combo that I love.
It’s served in a large bowl of blueberries, beets, goat cheese, apples, and candied walnuts over a bed of crisp spinach. Beautiful bright colors.
I actually went on a blind date to Citizen Burger a few weeks ago and ordered this salad after indulging in several appetizers. Here’s the write-up of the date in the paper.
This weekend I headed to Philadelphia for the Made in America Music Festival.
My friends and I stayed at The Hyatt Hotel at Penn’s Landing. Before the concert, we hung out on the rooftop.
Then we walked to Fairmount Park to see the show.
After quite the trek, it was time to get our groove on!
We were exhausted after day one, so after Beyoncé finished her set, we walked home to hit the hay. (I’ll spare you a picture of my battered and bruised feet that I so kindly Snapchatted my friends.)
Dancing is my all time favorite work out. Day 2 brought event more great artists, dance moves and excitement.
I even found a healthy lunch option.
Success! Stop, eat, digest, and dart back to the dance floor. Now everyone report to the dance floor, to the dance floor…
Calvin Harris was definitely my favorite!
On the way back to the hotel Sunday night, we stopped in Chinatown to get Bubble tea.
The next morning, we packed up and walked over to The Continental for brunch. I ordered the asparagus and goat cheese omelet.
It was an exciting weekend and a long drive home, but one of my lovely friends provided me with a sugar free Red Bull, so I was good to go!
Whew, that was a long post!
How was your long weekend? Have you ever been to a music festival?
