Why I live in my College Town
Winter no more, hello spring weather on this wonderful Wednesday.
Yesterday I walked down the street to my favorite Mediterranean restaurant on the corner for a power work lunch.
I ordered the Belly Dancer salad again and the chef added a savory touch of falafel on top. There’s something magical that happens when you eat a healthy meal after a hard workout.
After work and a full belly, I waltzed over to UVA grounds for a photo assignment. It’s so nice being able to walk everywhere, especially through a whimsical school like UVA. An education is the greatest gift, yet so easy to take for granted and wish away.
I was so fortunate to attend a majestic school like UVA and to now call Charlottesville my home. Your learning grounds hold secrets, laughter, loving memories, sadness, and everything in between.
Good food, beautiful scenery, fun events, awesome people. That’s why I live in my college town even after graduation. And getting to attend cool events doesn’t hurt either. 🙂
I was invited by my friend, Vanessa, to attend the Jimmy “Magic Man” Miller’s Bracket Event for Piedmont Casa this evening.
A benefit for a good cause and school spirit- my kind of evening!
And you know we got pictures with the UVA basketball coaches. #gohoos
It was a fun event with wahoo pride flowing through the sipping and munching clad crowd.
And speaking of wins, the giveaway winner from last week is Kate @ Baking in Yoga Pants!
Congrats Kate! Please email me at [email protected] so I can give you your coupon to order your cards!
Have a great evening everyone!
You know mine, but what’s your favorite college?
