an optimistic wave
In lieu of everything going on in the world, I think most of us want the same thing but believe different steps must be taken in order to get there.
I had the opportunity to hear Alicia Keys talk at work last week and I enjoyed these key takeaways:
- Be your authentic self and celebrate diversity
- Speak up
- Give space
- Be accepting, you do not know what is going on in others’ lives

Belonging is a strong need of ours – being respected, heard and seen.

And with that, here’s my poem to you. 🙂
I feel the wave
But alas, I am not on the wave
I am but a spectator
quietly perceiving the implied truth
Waves flow like prose
Gashing, moping, blowing
Never ending, but only
in appearance
Don’t forget to care for one another. 🙂
