Th15 is Our Year
A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realize how blessed you are with good company.
A time for new beginnings, so they say.
I personally don’t do the whole “new year, new you,” because it’s really just another day. We made up our calendar system. When I want to make a change, I make it happen, but that doesn’t stop me from ringing in the new year with awesome company and having the best time doing it at the Downtown Countdown in DC this year.
Ringing it in semi-charmed with Third Eye Blind. #ThrowBack what you know back
Our group knows how to make it happen. Reigning in from LA, SF, Wisconsin, NYC, and DC, no distance was too far to ring in the new year in our cups in style.
“We must stop concentrating on our differences and look for what we have in common; then we can begin to realize our greatest potential and achieve the greatest good in the world.”

We bunched up for brunch the next morning.
Laughter was steadily on tap.
“NYE in DC was was poppin’ the f off”
A diverse melting post yields the tastiest of concoctions. Growth stems from change and unfamiliarity.
“Strength lies in differences, not in similarities.”
You can’t grow and appreciate change without first getting love from home, which is what I did before NYE in good ole’ Virginia.
Time in Richmond, VA consisted of Christmas Eve, Christmas relaxation, a Hanukkah celebration, lunchin’ with the ladies, and brunchin too.
Family and friends for days. 🙂
Hone in
Don’t spin
Feel it
Don’t split
Go ride
Don’t lie
Open fate
Don’t hate
Forever green, passion reigns supreme, but it cannot be a distraction from life.
Fall without a road map. Forget the rebound to cushion the effervescent fall. All or nothing it is. Just go. Run from indolence.
Equilibrium off kilter? Strapped in, hands in the air sans anchor, fully understanding the chaos that surrounds the finish line. You can bring my hand to the crayon, but you can’t make me color in the lines. I’ve got time for wisdom and balance.
If you’re lost in my prose musings, just remember, “You’re mad. Bonkers. Off your head…but I’ll tell you a secret…all of the best people are.”
Oh, and if you’re into the whole “new year, new you” here’s some inspiration for ya right here.
How’s your 2015? Any New Years resolutions? More power to you!
