Seas the Day in Maui
The spirit of aloha.

Explore the worldly magic of a new place.
After a 4+ hour flight for my work trip, we did just that in Maui. I dug into a poke salad at Poi by the Pound followed by lying pool side for all of 10 minutes before I was off to explore the beach.

After a hot tub sesh, it was back to the room to prepare for dinner, but not before taking an epic photo shoot with our hand delivered champagne service. Thanks Ritz Carlton of Kapalua! 🙂
We hit Aloha Plate for dinner where I tried the ube (popular potato in Hawaii) over fish and veggies. So ono (ono means delicious in Hawaiian).
The nice thing about Hawaii (well let’s be honest, 1 of the 1K nice things) is waking up early since they’re 2 hours behind pacific coast time. Naturally, I got up super early, crushed some work and hit the gym all before our 8 AM hike.
Then we beached it for the day mixed with some photoshoots and emails.
Before long, it was time to get ready for my team’s welcome reception at the Plantation Lanai.
The next day, my cousin Joey flew in and we got the breakfast buffet at the Ritz before cruising to the other side of the butterfly shaped island for the black rock sand beach.
And anotha’ one because that spread is something special
The weather is so unpredictable and one part can be rainy while the other is sunny. When you see what appears to be fog, it’s actually rain, as fog doesn’t exist on island. It can be sunny where you are and you look out to the distance to see a rain storm.
When we got to the black sand beach, there was no rain in sight. It was awesome.
We checked out a market on the way. It really was a beautiful day.
After beachin’ we grabbed dinner with the group at Lahaina Grill followed by an ice cream night cap. 🙂
The next day, I dropped Joey off at Kapalua airport.
I headed back to pack and catch our flight back to the bay! And that my friends concluded the trip! Still can’t believe I got to go on this fun adventure.
