Learning Your Interests
Do you ever find yourself doing something repetitively that you just don’t truly enjoy?
You know, like reading a thought provoking yet totally boring book or eating a salad that’s good for you but tastes so bland.
I have to tell you, I don’t think I really enjoy camping. Hasn’t stopped me from doing it over and over and over again. Oh and did I mention again?
Camping. I like the idea of it – escaping from civilization, hanging with friends, getting a stellar workout, but to be honest, the whole no-electricity-creature-fearing life isn’t for me.
My aunt once said, “don’t be so open minded that your brain falls out.”
As life goes on, we learn ourselves. Our likes, dislikes, quirks, etc.
So what’s next?
I’ll likely camp again, like in the summer time or for a one-night event. Who knows for sure. As Justin Bieber once said, never say never.
But it’s certainly nice to learn your interests.
What about you? A fan of camping? Learning a new disinterest of yours recently?
