Sometimes people ask me why I’m so chipper. Or why I’m so energetic. Or why I smile so much.
Always runnin’ through the day.
The amount of energy I have is actually strange. I’m always on the go from concerts to outings and workouts galore.
If I told you my whole story, it would probably make sense. Perhaps you could say I’ve lived many lives. I’ve been through a lot.
“Everything that happens to us is a reflection of who we are.”
As I write this post, I can’t seem to grasp the whole selfless concept. How does one write a blog post free of the most-used word in the English language- “I.” Hmm…
Anyway, as a high-energy individual, it can be hard for me to relax. Thank goodness for my amazing support system (mom and dad- you are my everything), but the other thing that has always been there for me is spirituality in the form of inspiration and motivation-Â quotes.
Today, I got to meet and throw a yoga pose with one of the greatest gurus of our time.
“The highest levels of performance come to people who are centered, intuitive, creative, and reflective – people who know to see a problem as an opportunity.”
An individual who inspired me to contort my last name of Katzen into zen kat and role with this whole mindful approach on life. Inhale, exhale.
Deepak Chopra
I teach people that no matter what the situation is, no matter how chaotic, no matter how much drama is around you, you can heal by your presence if you just stay within your center.Â
He challenged us, asking “Are you aware?”
My ego surely is. 😉
“Always go with your passions. Never ask yourself if it’s realistic or not.”
These quotes bring clarity. They shed light on the struggle. It’s through struggle that we are awakened. Every piece of pain creates gratitude for simplicity.
The greater you’re struggle, the more you can handle. It’s science and that is powerful.
To think is to practice brain chemistry.
As Deepak says, stress is the interpretation of feeling threatened.
“In the midst of movement and chaos, keep stillness inside of you.”
Stillness is hard for the high-energy people in this world. Sure, we can get a lot done and be super social, but the down time is a challenge. Reading quotes and learning from the greats has been my favorite answer so far…
One day perhaps I’ll write a book about the struggle that was, but until then,
I’ll let the true gurus lead
while I continue the feed,
No need for high and fast speed.
The goal is to always breed.

“Self-awareness is not just relaxation and not just meditation. It must combine relaxation with activity and dynamism. Technology can aid that.”
“Because I always have a choice, I choose love.”
