OreGon to Washington
The entire west coast is on point with the views. We spent the 4th in Seaside, Oregon. Seaside is like a less intense, smaller version of Virginia Beach. I love the west coast for its mountains and beaches. Why settle for just one when you can have both? Before leaving Oregon, I made sure to stop by Dutch Brothers Coffee where one of my friend’s (who I met at this PR conference a couple years ago) handles the PR. These huts started as a single little pushcart and now it’s in several states. Very cool place with friendly people. It was celebrating the holiday at the beach yesterday. A big group of us went to Seaside Brewery for dinner and drinks. Naturally, I would order a glass of chardonnay because I don’t like beer. Always double fist with a glass of water of course. Spirits on spirits. Then came the fire on works. What a show. Today we’re just outside of Seattle and the views of Mount Rainier are exquisite. I’ve been staying active while on tour with running and Tai Chi. One of the musicians here is a Tai Chi instructor, so I’ve been able to learn a lot about this art form. It’s helping me locate my sanity, while also slowly learn to maneuver through the grieving process. Just like any problem or issue in life, I’m continuing to take one day at a time, keep busy, and process all feelings and emotions. It’s not easy, but I know I’m doing the right thing by moving forward ever day.

We are the eyes to our own world, therefore, we control our destinies and our overall outlook on life. Hope everyone had a fabulous 4th of July and that you were lucky enough to spend it with your family. I sure do miss mine, but I’ll be seeing them soon! 🙂 Enjoy thy weekend.
