Like a band of gypsies we go down the highway
Vibrating foot steps, cool air, supposed agendas. I spent the day at the airport. Darting eyes, prestigious demeanors. Is it me or do the travelers only aim to appear important. I mean, how important is the destination?
I suppose I’m becoming a writer. Whatever that means. Word flow, rhythm, word choice, structure, and grammar. Take or leave the last one I suppose.
In my English classes, I’d read a work looking for its significance. What happens when we read something for pure pleasure. Perhaps we miss certain details that way. During pleasure, the brain might not be working as hard as say during a work project. We’re told to enjoy art, but I think it must first be studied before it can ever be enjoyed. Isn’t this just how life is? We work to enjoy. Put the time in and the benefits multiply. The more effort, the more reward. So, if we work to reap a benefit, at what point does the work manifest itself into pleasure? Perhaps it’s always pleasure because it’s necessary in order to obtain pleasure. Can pleasure exist on its own without the presence of work?
The destination defines importance, but one must learn how to travel.
On the road again
Like a band of gypsies we go down the highway
We’re the best of friends
Insisting that the world keep turning our way
And our way
is on the road again
After visiting four airports today, I finally made it to California.

It’s beautifully rustic here in Fresno, where I’ll be for the next three days. Windy roads, fresh orange farms, tall mountain peaks, and quiet valleys. Even the scarcely-populated areas of this state are well-maintained.
Working out these next few weeks will be interesting. Perhaps I’ll be creating some makeshift workouts, so be sure to check in with my workouts page. I’m off for a run because I’ve been cooped up all day and I’m at that point where I’m so tired, I’m getting energetic.
Moo. I’m making moo the new woof. I thought this picture from my Mississippi ventures was appropriate.
Workout- shower, jet off to bed.
Goodnight loves!
Question: Thoughts on pleasure in the presence of work?
