It’s the Remedy

Sometimes life be like…

Those days you get dressed in workout clothes, but fail to make it to the gym. Lingering deadlines. Your hair needs washing. Your eyes need light. Your body needs relaxation. You know what I’m sayin’.

Go-go-go leads to ex-haus-ting.

You see, I had this idea that after high school, people became “composed.”

While in college, I looked at post-grad 20-somethings as “put together.” Jokes on jokes right there.

Now, as a 20-something myself, I see my mentors as “having it all figured out…”

We’re always defining our future by what we see on the outside. So many illusions. Or is it allusions?

As we age, time travels faster.
Boredom may lurk, only backstage,
The apron of fear then loosens.
We define our truths and our reels.
Energy expels where we so choose.

Sanity may falter, your energy, you author.

Amid the culture shock, I’ve managed to facilitate my energy some type of way in the west coast best coast…

Team Facebook takes on Soul Cycle class. (This is a blast of a workout if you haven’t tried it. It’s like a hip hop class on a bike.)

A team that workouts out together stays together. We inspired each other- now that’s cool.

We surely squeeze in some libation time too.

Every artist was first an amateur.”

Aside from cool work projects, I’ve experienced all the cultures. No joke, the restaurants at Facebook change up the menu to include food from all over the world, not to mention the treats from my co-workers all over various parts of the world.

Five minutes on campus and you’ll hear 4 different accents intertwined in the utmost forward thinking of convos.

‘Tis the nature of the tech capitol of the world.

Supes fords (If you understand my abbreviation, I love you and I’m sory.)

Nothing can bring you peace but yourself.”

Off the cusp and keeping with the energy flow, I decided to run the Hot Chocolate 15K with my friend Tim this past Sunday. They actually gave out chocoalte and marshmellows at the water stand. My kinda’ run! I tried to inspire us through the miles, but in actuality, I just rambled on and on for an hour and a half. Poor guy!

“What lies before us and what lies behind us are small matters compared to what lies within us. And when you bring what is within out into the world, miracles happen.”

Fitness is the key to my sanity. And that thing called mindfulness.

Sometimes, it’s necessary to lose an ounce of clarity, especially in a new place, in an open space, in a new age, and with a delightful taste of grace. At the end of the day, life goes on and you inevitably learn something new as a result of time and change.

Spoiler alert: With success comes ample of stress. But hey, if you’ve got it “all figured out,” then what’s left to learn?

It’s an ongoing journey my friends, so choose your favorite shoes and stretch before you take off, because baby it’s a slowride, take it easy. It’s surely a beauty.

Question: What’s your remedy for chaos?
