If you’re on Pinterest or you read blogs, you’ve probably seen the healthy ice cream recipe using a banana. I’m always the first to try unique foods, especially healthy ones. Naturally I wanted to try out this delicious healthy ice cream. A sinless dessert? Count me in.
First, freeze a couple peeled bananas over night. Throw bananas in a blender and mix until smooth.
Add 2 Tablespoons of cocoa powder.
Add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
Add 2 Tablespoons of sweeteners (I used 1 of honey, 1 of Truvia).
Time to taste.
It wasn’t very good and I was generous with the sweeteners. After a waltz through the pantry I chose to add a couple Tablespoons of sweetened coconut for a little oomph. Here’s hoping.
Spoon the chocolate concoction into a container to freeze for at least 2 hours.
It looks good anyway. Now time to try it.
I tried to love it. I really did. I even added rainbow sprinkles.
I gave up and opted for something really better.
I’m sorry, but healthy banana ice cream sucks.
