Bae 2 Breakers

Only in San Francisco will you find 50,000 participants and 100,000 spectators oogling the crowd where the birthday suite costume is far from abnormal.

Bay to Breakers (or as we endearing call it, Bae 2 Breakers) started as a celebration to rebuild the city after the notorious 1906 earthquake that wiped out the city.

It goes down on the third Sunday of May, starting downtown (bay) and ending at the beach (breakers). It’s a 7 mile footrace, but most people show up solely for the sights. The party starts early, and you don’t want to let the sun beat you to the horizon…

It’s surely a wild ride full of spectacles to make you bright-eyed.

Have no fear, the 3 steps to surviving Bae 2 Breakers in style are right here:

Step 1: Get you a selfie stick

While said selfie stick stopped working properly from over-usies, I’m happy to report it can still capture ussies.

Step 2: Get you a rockin’ crew

If ya wanna selfie like me all you gotta do is go to B2B.

Step 3: Most importantly, get you an outfit on fleek

Bananas and pajamas are hardly being squares

Time for an elfy.

The sky’s the limit on crazy outfits.

It’s an odd thing, but anyone who disappears is said to be seen in San Francisco. It must be a delightful city and possess all the attractions of the next world
-Oscar Wilde

You’ll walk. You’ll laugh. And you might just be afraid.

When the break seems too far out of sight, you can always pull over for arguably the best list of restaurants in the nation.

Let that tired face sit back and enjoy a bite.

A little slice of heaven. The perfect recipe to satiate an over-zealous, city-shocked mind.

pizzaaaaAnd that’s Bae 2 Breakers in a nutsea-shell.

Tell me, what would you dress as to attend this event?
